With the global cruise market expanding, China’s cruise industry is transitioning from scale growth to high-quality, differentiated development. Cruise ship interiors, as specialized consumption spaces, must move beyond homogeneous designs copying international standards to meet diverse passenger needs and build competitive advantages. This study constructs a systematic framework for differentiated interior design based on regional culture, passenger demands, and engineering constraints. It analyzes core design dimensions for typical itineraries including East Asian, Caribbean, Arctic, and Mediterranean routes, exploring the coupling of cultural elements, technical feasibility, passenger satisfaction, and market benefits. A full-chain design path covering demand research, multidisciplinary coordination, modular prefabrication, dynamic scenario adjustment, and lifecycle management is proposed, providing theoretical and practical guidance for China’s cruise industry to develop culturally distinctive competitive advantages globally.
