Advances in Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Research on Bile Reflux Gastritis

Abstract

Bile reflux gastritis (BRG) is a specific type of gastritis caused by the reflux of bile-containing duodenal fluid into the stomach, resulting in damage to the gastric mucosa. The clinical manifestations of this disease lack specificity, and its course is often prolonged with a tendency for recurrent episodes. Therefore, inhibiting excessive bile reflux is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of gastritis. Currently, the therapeutic efficacy and prognosis of bile reflux gastritis remain suboptimal, and how to achieve effective treatment and improve patient outcomes has become a key clinical concern. This article systematically reviews relevant literature, summarizes and analyzes clinical studies on traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatments for this disease, aiming to provide references and insights for the management of bile reflux gastritis.
