Abstract

Ulcerative colitis is a common clinical chronic non-specific inflammatory bowel disease, and environmental toxicity is an emerging Chinese medicine etiology in recent years. With the rapid development of industrialization, resource depletion and environmental pollution are becoming increasingly serious, and the incidence of ulcerative colitis is also increasing. This paper takes the theory of environmental toxicity as the starting point, discusses the correlation between environmental toxicity and ulcerative colitis from the five viscera and intestinal microecology, and puts forward the prevention and treatment of ulcerative colitis from the perspective of “treating the disease before it is diagnosed”, with a view to providing a certain theoretical basis for the clinical prevention and treatment of ulcerative colitis.
