Abstract

Diabetic kidney disease is one of the major microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus. This paper summarizes the Chinese medicine theories such as "Zangxiang" and "qi, blood and fluid", and combs through the literature related to the identification and treatment of diabetic kidney disease from a microscopic point of view, to elaborate the clinical symptoms of diabetic kidney disease and the pathomechanisms of renal pathology from a macroscopic and a microscopic point of view. At the same time, we analyze the Chinese medicines used in the TCM treatment of diabetic kidney disease in the literature in the past 5 years, and discuss the internal organs related to the pathogenesis of diabetic kidney disease.
