Gender Differences among Young Adults with Personality Disorder

Personality disorders are characterized by enduring patterns of maladaptive traits, affecting the way individuals perceive themselves, relate to others, and cope with life's challenges. The prevalence of personality disorders among young adults has gained increased attention in recent years due to their potential long - term consequences on personal, social, and occupational domains. This research aims to explore male and female differences among young adults with personality disorders to better understand the unique challenges faced by them.236 young adults aged between 20 and 40 years were selected using purposive sampling method in and around Karur, Tamil Nadu. The tools used were the Personal Data Sheet, Personality Belief Questionnaire (PBQ) Short form: (Beck, 1991). The results will be analysed using mean, standard deviation, independent sample t - test, and the findings were mentioned below.
