Abstract

Renal fibrosis is one of the important pathological changes in the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD), and its progression rate directly determines the degree of renal function loss, which is closely related to the progression of CKD. Therefore, delaying the progression of renal fibrosis is essential to preserve kidney function. Studies have found that a variety of signaling pathways are involved in the occurrence and development of renal fibrosis, and traditional Chinese medicine can intervene in the progression of renal fibrosis by regulating renal fibrosis-related signaling pathways. The purpose of this article is to review the mechanism of TCM intervention and regulation of renal fibrosis signaling pathway, so as to facilitate the study of the mechanism of action and active ingredients of TCM in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, further expand the scope of TCM treatment, and explore new ideas and methods for the treatment of CKD.
