Abstract

Optic neuropathy mainly includes diseases such as optic neuritis, anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, optic disc edema, optic nerve atrophy, optic nerve tumors, and optic disc dysplasia, among which anterior ischemic optic neuropathy is the most common. In clinical practice, Western medicine often uses hormone therapy and symptomatic treatment, but the therapeutic effect is not satisfactory; Acupuncture therapy, as the main treatment, has a good effect on the continuous recovery of visual impairment after acute Western medicine treatment. This article focuses on the treatment effect of acupuncture therapy on optic neuropathy, hoping to provide inspiration for clinical and scientific researchers, in order to promote the improvement of clinical diagnosis and treatment technology, and to treat low vision patients caused by optic neuropathy.
