Abstract

Burning mouth syndrome is a common clinical oral mucosal disease, with an increasing incidence in recent years. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has unique advantages in treating this disease, which can significantly relieve patients’ tongue discomfort. This article discusses the treatment of burning mouth syndrome from the perspective of heart and spleen, and presents 3 effective cases treated with modified Daochi Powder combined with Gancao Xiexin Decoction. It analyzes the experience of Professor Gao Rong in treating burning mouth syndrome, aiming to provide new therapeutic ideas for the treatment of this disease.
