Abstract

Lower extremity varicose veins is a chronic venous disease, mainly due to venous insufficiency leading to venous blood reflux, the appearance of inner leg skin changes, lower extremity heavy, vein tortuosity, pain, etc., the condition aggravation may lead to dermatitis, pigmentation, repeated ulcers and other complications. With the development of medicine, the methods of treating varicose veins of lower limbs with traditional Chinese and western medicine have been improved day by day, and have achieved good clinical effect. This article will review the recent research results on the treatment of lower limb varicose veins with Chinese and western medicine, in order to provide reference for further clinical treatment.
