Abstract

Breast cancer is a highly heterogeneous tumor. Changes in receptor status often are observed at the time of recurrence and metastasis. This phenomenon of receptor transformation has an important impact on the choice of treatment and prognosis of patients. In this paper, we will review the literature related to receptor transformation in recent years, and then discuss the receptor transformation after recurrence of breast cancer patients and the potential mechanisms.
