Abstract

Zhang Zhongjing’s Treatise on Febrile Diseases is the foundation work of the theoretical system of Chinese medicine, in which the six-meridian identification is the pioneer of identification theory. The six-meridians are mainly the solar meridian, the yangming meridian, the shaoyang meridian, the taiyang meridian, the taiyin meridian, the shaoyin meridian, and the jueyin meridian. The theory of the six-meridians is not only very effective in the treatment of adult diseases, but also can be a good guide for the treatment of pediatric diseases of the lung system, spleen system and other systems. This paper gives a review on the six-meridian theory of Treatise on Febrile Diseases to guide the treatment of pediatric diseases.
