As China’s population ages and urbanization progresses, the size of the elderly migrant worker population continues to expand, and the difficulties they face in providing for their retirement are becoming increasingly prominent. Based on the social governance of the new era, this article systematically analyzes the difficulties faced by elderly migrant workers in the construction industry through field visits and questionnaire surveys in Yibin, Chengdu, and Luzhou, combined with online context and policy guidance. It also explores solutions from the perspectives of policy support, social care, and personal development, hoping to provide reference for improving the elderly migrant workers’ living conditions and promoting harmonious social development.
