Abstract

With the vigorous development of digitalization and science and technology, the gig economy began to appear in people’s eyes and gradually occupied an important role, and social security, as a stabilizer of people’s life and social security, plays an important role in social stability and national economic development. “Gig workers” have increasingly become a new driving force for the development of China’s employment patterns, and the emergence of “gig workers” has alleviated the impact of the epidemic on small and medium-sized enterprises and provided jobs. China proposed to achieve a “multi-level social security system”, and zero work is an important part of the employment pattern in the labor market, which has played an important role in the improvement and development of the social security system. However, due to the low participation rate and the lack of coverage of the social security system, the social security of “gig workers” is insufficient, so it is necessary to explore the optimization path from the government, individual and platform levels.
