Abstract

This research explores the impact of online learning on student engagement and academic performance, specifically focusing on the role of active participation in online settings. Through an analysis of literature and empirical studies, the study examines the effect of synchronous interaction, attendance, and engagement tools on student outcomes. Results indicate mixed effects, with some positive associations between online learning tools and engagement but challenges in maintaining academic performance and active participation. These findings highlight the need for innovative strategies to enhance student interaction and performance in online environments.
